Troldhaugen Home of composer Edvard Grieg

Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen was the home of composer Edvard Grieg for 22 years. He composed many of his best-known works in the little garden hut.

Troldhaugen in Bergen, the home of composer Edvard Grieg, is now a living museum comprising an exhibition centre with shop and cafe, concert hall, composers' cabin and Grieg's villa dating from 1885.

Guided tours of the villa run continuously for both groups and individual tourists. It is also possible to hold private concerts in the villa or concert hall.

Children under 16 yers old: free entrance.

Private concerts and events the Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen:

A private concert and tour will give any event that added extra. Intimate concerts for up to 40 guests can be held in Edvard Griegs old living room, with music played on Grieg’s Steinway grand piano from 1892.

The concert hall Troldsalen next door is perfect for events between 40 and 190 people. Troldsalen is constructed particularly with chamber music in mind and you can listen to Edvard Grieg’s music while enjoying the very scenery that once inspired him in his work.

A concert may be combined with dinner at the restaurant “Troldhaugen”, with a capacity for 50 + 30 for a seated dinner. 

Meetings and conferences at Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen:

The beautiful Troldsalen is also perfectly suited for meetings and conferences in cinema style settings. A meeting here often includes a cultural element - which gives a nice added touch to any meeting. Capacity for meetings: 150 people.
