Description

National conservation area with international diploma and status as listed wetlands and nature reserve, home to numerous species of birds, including the whooper swan. The nature reserve was granted status as a Ramsar conservation area on 19 March 1996. Excellent bird-watching facilities overlooking Gaustadvågen bay, with information boards, binoculars, picnic areas and parking spaces.
