Beautiful lake in a popular recreation area just 5 km from the city centre.

The walking trail around the water is 4,5 km (2,8 miles) long and is connected to a large network of trails in the Oslo forests.

The lake is Oslo's richest wetland and bird reserve area, and more than 200 bird species have been registered in the area.
