Storebjørn is the highrest of the nine Smørstabbtindane peaks and our most popular hike. The tour starts off the road in Leirdalen and follows the bottom of the valley along the Tverrbyttbekken brook. Further westwards till you reach the glacier Bjørnebreen. Cross the glacier and continue towards Veslebjørn and the gap between the two peaks. Follow the ridge to the top.
This is a considerably long (8 to 10 hours), but easy tour. Season: July - August,
Price: 890 NOK pro person.
