Description

The artist Henrik Sørensen came to Vinje to paint every summer from 1927 to 1961. In memory of him, a distinctive gallery has been built of natural stone at the entrance to the Støylsdalen valley, in the middle of the painters' landscape.

The gallery contains of 40 paintings by Henrik Sørensen and 25 paintings by Harald Kihle. Sørensen and Kihle both worked and lived together a lot in Smørklepp.

Outside the main season the museum is open for groups on request, contact Vest-Telemark Museum.
