Description

Lognvikvatn and Tansvatn Lakes are not regulated. The trout and char stocks are strong; mostly char in Lognvikvatn. Lognvik and Tansvatn Fishing Association sells fishing permits valid for the western part of Lognvikvatn, together with Tansvatn as marked on the map. Boat hire at Austbø Hotel. The boats lie at Podden.

The fishing permit is valid for both rod and ice fishing. Access is at Austbø Hotel. You are also recommended to walk along the old track beside the lake (Lognvikstrondi).

These lakes are also suitable for canoeing and kayaking, and when the discharge is normal a boat can be rowed between Lognvikvatn and Tansvatn. On late, calm summer evenings you can see beavers out collecting food.

The permit is sold at Austbø Hotel, Rauland Tourist Information Office and by the landowners.
