Portåsen - Herman Wildenvey's childhood home - is located in a beautiful landscape and quiet forest farm in Mjøndalen, Nedre Eiker.

Portåsen is a center for dissemination of Herman Wildenvey life and writing. In addition, a meeting place and venue for local, regional and national artists and cultural workers.

In Våningshuset you will find Sørine Café and Poetry Library. In Låven there is the Herman Wildenvey-room and the Digital Archive. Bryggerihuset is the place for shared experiences and memories.

Portåsen's outdoor amphitheater can accommodate up to 400 spectators. There are concerts and readings during the summer.

In the surroundings there is a rich flora, especially orchids species. Marked trails.
