Description

Vågslid can offer 65 km of prepared cross-country ski tracks in beautiful high mountain terrain. The tracks are prepared by Haukelifjell Skisenter. As soon as there is enough snow on the road into Bordalen, a track is prepared here. This track will continue to be prepared until the Vågslid tracks are ready. As soon as ice and snow conditions allow, the tracks are waymarked. A circular track is cut and ploughed from the ski centre up to Prestegård, together with a shorter circular track from the top of the skicentre.

The tracks are ploughed in the weekends, during the winter holidays and in the Easter. In high winds and heavy snow, priority is given to the track that starts from Botn, following Lake Vågslidvatn to Arbuvollen, and continuing to the ski centre. As the weather improves, the other trails will be prepared. There is also a waymarked track between Haukeliseter Fjellstue and Haukelifjell Skisenter. This will be prepared in the Easter.

For information on weather and snowconditions, call tel +47 46 42 44 44.

Haukeli Skisenter is also available for information on tel +47 35 07 05 55 or check www.skiinfo.com/www.visithaukeli.org
