Description

Åmot has a small, but wellgroomed net of cross country skiing trails.

Lighted trail:Start at Brubakk, 500 metres from Åmot Centre direction Dalen. 3 km, undulating terrain. Lit until 10pm.

5 km circular trail: Start from Groven Camping, 1.5 km connecting trail. Circular trail is uphill for the first 2 km, then undulating through picturesque forest terrain.

10 km circular trail: Start at Mjåvaskaret, around 7 km from Åmot village in the direction of Øyfjell. Look for signs to Vehuskjerringa. The trail runs through undulating terrain, close below the tree line. Very scenic. Ploughed mainly at weekends from February and out the season.

Vinje Idrettslag is responsible for grooming the ski trails in the Åmot area.
