The battleship "Murmansk"

Contact information

Description

On Christmas Eve 1994, as the church bells rang in Christmas, the Russian cruiser “Murmansk” ran aground just off Sørvær. The 200-metre long battleship lies there stranded right outside the breakwater at Sørvær, and has gradually become a landmark of its own.
