Welcome to the Elverum region.
The Elverum region consists of three municipalities: Elverum, Våler and Åmot. It covers 3,275 km2 and has approximately 28,500 inhabitants.
Elverum is often called the forest capital and the entire region plays a very important part in Norway's forest industry. The forest is not just for timber production but is also home to an abundance of wildlife and endless hiking opportunities.
Elverum is the biggest city in the region and is therefore regarded as the regional centre.
The river Glomma flows through our region. Along with the Rena river and other waterways, there are plenty of opportunities for water activities like fishing, swimming and canoeing.
