Sunnhordland is a region of contrasts and variations. Thus offering Your clients packages on “fly and drive” basis might be an good option. Below we have put together an itinerary for this purpose. And remember - Sunnhordland is an exciting area to visit the whole year. This itinerary is just a guideline and we will work together with You in developing an exact programme.
Included: transfers by private A/C taxi or private car hire for Bergen Airport to selected hotels in Bergen, accommodation in selected hotels, bed & breakfast in double rooms, car rental and a detailed map for Your route.


Day 1:
Pick up Your rental car at Bergen airport after arrival. Drive to Your hotel in Bergen. After checking in to the hotel we suggest that You spend some time exploring this beautiful hanseatic town. Sprawl over the world famous fish market or take the
funicular to Fløyen for an outstanding view of the city. When it comes to cuisine,
Bergen has many fascinating alternatives to offer.

Day 2:
After breakfast You head for road E39 and drive to Halhjem 30 km south of Bergen. Here You board the ferry from Halhjem to Sandvikvåg on the Island of Stord.
Proceed to Leirvik in Stord, where You will find Your hotel for the coming days. After checking in at the hotel, we suggest that You take a walk in the cosy small town Leirvik. Perhaps a visit to Sunnhordland Folkemuseum will be a good way of starting your stay in our region!

Day 3:
This day we will take You out to the fascinating ocean. From the hotel You drive over some amazing bridges to the island of Bømlo. Bømlo is a very important island in Norwegian history. Among the important things taking place here, we can
mention that Christianity in Norway started in year 995 here. Therefore we suggest that you start with a visit to Moster Kyrkje - probably the oldest church in Norway. Here You will also find a documentation centre from this periode.

After visiting Moster we suggest that You go to the north side of the island Bømlo. This will take you to the fisher village of Brandasund - with the North Sea as the nearest neighbour. Here You will experience the splendour and dramatic ocean landscape. Of course we can arrange it so that You ca go out with known experts in a boat and try to catch the big fish. Here we can guarantee you a good catch! Of course - this day we suggest that You enjoy a delicious meal based on the natures’s own resources.

Day 4:
An important element of our history, is the light houses. Through centuries this has been an important navigating tools for sailors all along the coast. After enjoying Your breakfast, You dive under the Bømlafjord in a new fantastic tunnel and arrive in Sveio. In Sveio You drive to Ryvarden and visit one of the most important light houses on the coast. Today this light house is also a gallery and You can enjoy some fantastic paths around the light house. After visiting Ryvarden You can visit the home of one of the more important Norwegian composers - Fartein Valen. It is also possible to pay a visit to the city of Haugesund before You go back to Your base on Stord.

Day 5:
After breakfast You take the ferry from Leirvik to Sunde. Arriving on Sunde You go on road 48 to Rosendal. Here You can enjoy the beauty of the manor Baroniet Rosendal. The manor was built in 1665 and is today serving as a museum. They also have a Renaissance garden, and a rich cultural program the whole summer including concerts, courtyard theatre and art exhibitions. After visiting Rosendal You follow road 48 back to Bergen and Bergen Airport.
