Description

Murmansk is known as the world`s largest city North of the Arctic Circle. Here you find both, the "old" Russia and the modern Russia. Murmansk has changed a lot the last few years and you will feel this changes during your visit.

Day 1: The tour starts from the centre of Kirkenes at 3 pm. Regular bus to Murmansk. There is a visa and passport control before and after crossing the Russian border. We continue through Nikel and Zapoljarny, cities where destruction of nature is enormous due to the Sovjet mining industry. We will also pass the valley of Pechenga with its large military base and monumnets from the 2nd world war. We arrive Murmansk at approximately 10 pm Russian time.

We check-in at the Polyarny Zory hotel.

Day 2: Breakfast. 11 am - 1 pm city sightseeing: we will visit the 36 meter tall statue of "the unknown soldier" - Alosha. The tremendous panorama of the city of Murmansk opens from this point. We inform you about shopping opportunities, restaurants etc.

We will be heading back to Kirkenes by taxi at 4 pm Russian time
Arrival time to Kirkrenes is approximately 6 pm Norwegian time.

This tour requi-res a visa and have to be booked in advance!
