Description

In addition to spectacular wilderness adventures, Norske Bygdeopplevelser can offer “pure” cultural experiences. These trips will focus on culture every step of the way: local history, museums, manor farms, mountain farms, food, local specialities and excellent accommodation! Guided tours are often included, or you will have the opportunity to explore on your own. Social interaction is important, and welcoming hosts help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Ideal for individuals as well as groups.
In conjunction with the Peer Gynt Festival in July/August, we can offer unique trips “packed” with cultural experiences. Peer Gynt by lake Gålå, with the opportunity to experience an open-air concert with Rondane as a backdrop or the performance Tidar – a new, spectacular event held in Fryajuvet. The Peer Gynt Festival is a 10-day celebration of culture, where visitors can enjoy a range of events focusing on art, literature and music.
“Sol av Isfolket” – a theatre performance in Valdres. The play is based on the three first books in Margit Sandemo’s saga “The Legend of the Ice People”. Tengel “the good” is played by Paul Ottar Haga, Silje is played by Evy Kasseth Røsten and Sol is played by Heidi Ruud Ellingsen.
Røros, featuring the music theatre production Elden. This trip provides an insight into the rich history of Røros. It also features one of Norway’s most spectacular music theatre productions “Elden” – a play about love and hate, hope and despair, humour and tragedy. “The greatest war drama in Nordic history – the Armfeldt march across the Tydal mountains in 1718-1719”.
