Description

Join our experienced provider of Sami culture on a day trip to the island of Kvaløya for some exotic reindeer sledding (30 min), lasso throwing, cultural knowledge and nice scenery as part of your introduction to Sami culture.

We pick you up in Tromsø and take you by bus to our base camp at Risvika. The reindeers are waiting for you with the sled and you will go on a nice and tranquil trip. A wonderful way of experiencing the traditional Sami way of transport. While sledding through the Norwegian winter landscape the only thing you will hear is the reindeer bell. A unique and serene experience. (25-30 minutes). You will also meet the owners of our reindeer. You will of course also have the opportunity to make your acquaintance with the reindeer and feed them. In addition, our Sami friends will show you how to throw the lasso, and you will have the opportunity to try yourself. After our outdoor activities we will serve you some hot drinks and the traditional Sami meal called Bidos. The warmth from the bonfire and the warm soup will bring you back in time and give you a glimpse of how the Sami people used to live their lives.

Included: Warm clothes, guide, hot meal, hot drink, marshmallow and transfer (40 min. each way)
Duration: 4-5 hours
Level of difficulty: Easy
Number of participants: 2-22
