The summer mountain farm in the Ryssendalen Valley originates from 1842 and is completely renovated and extended. There are two bed rooms, a spacious kitchen with a dining table for 6 persons, bathroom and sauna. In the old part there’s another bed room and a living room. A deck stretches in front of the entire building. In the summer time you can drive all the way up to the farm building, but in Winter you have to ski in the last 5 km or hire snow scooter transport.

Situated at 950 m.a.s.l. in an open mountain landscape, our summer farm makes an ideal starting point for shorter or longer hikes and cycling tours. Marked trails lead to summits of 1500-1600 m.a.s.l. and the farm roads are superb for cycling, also across the mountain towards Beitostølen.

There are two operative summer mountains farms nearby where there are cattle and goats. Sheep also graze in the surroundings. 2 km from our farm there’s a pond with small mountain trout for fishing.

In the winter time it’s 2,5 km to the prepared cross country skiing tracks of the Slettefjell, with a connection towards Beitostølen. There are superb back country skiing possibilities on the Slettefjell towards the summits of Belgjenøse and Mugnetinden.
