Andøy Friluftssenter is beautifully situated in a large wilderness area, between a fjord and mountains with marshes, forests and slopes full of animal and bird life.

The wilderness cabins/ family cabins are each 45m2 in size, and are fully equipped for eight people, with sleeping accommodation in two bedrooms, a loft room, and on a double sofa bed in the living room. The fully equipped kitchen contains a dining area, four-ring electric cooker with an oven, a fridge/freezer, and kitchen sink. The bathroom has a toilet, wash basin and a shower. (Also suitable for wheelchair users).

Our small cabin "Tranebæra" is is 18m2  and devided in two rooms, 2 persons in each room. Each room has a mini kitchen-corner with a cooking top, fridge, sink, small dining area which is equipped with cooking utensils and cutlery, etc., and a bunk bed. There is no bathroom with shower, only one toilet and one washbasin for charing inbetween the two rooms. For shower you are free to use the service building facilities on the campsite. Our “Tranebæra” cabin is built in a traditional architecture with log style paneling.

“Aurora Guest House” is well equipped to accommodate up to 12 persons in five bedrooms. There are two rooms with double beds and three rooms with bunk beds. There are three bathrooms in the house, furnished with shower, toilet and washbasin. One of the double rooms has an on-suite bathroom, while another bathroom is suitable for wheel chair users. You have free access to a washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge- freezer, sink, dishwasher, and all the necessary cooking utensils and cutlery to accommodate your dining needs. The lounge area like the rest of the house is comfortable and tastefully decorated. On 140 m2 the house is built in a traditional architecture with a grass roof and log style paneling. Don`t hesitate to contact our reseption for group booking.

All our cabins have balconies were you can enjoy a beautiful view over the fjord and mountains. All cabins are located in and surrounded by the nature, 50 meters from the sea, and 100 meters the mountain. The cabins are fully winter-insulated and just as comfortable during both winter and summer.

You can fish for salmon, trout and other fish in the lakes, rivers and fjord, take part in guided trips in the mountains or pick cloudberries on cultivated land together with our guide.

Our farm-food kitchen provides a taste of the wilderness through its traditional and contemporary meals made from the farm’s own resources, such as fresh-water fish, moose and cloudberries. Get a real taste of what Vesterålen can offer you! For special occasions we are able to organize tailor made menus as well as wine tastings and food courses. Our gallery restaurant seats 50 persons and is located in our main building, beside our Northern Light salon, where you can rest before and after dinner, watching the Midnightsun and mysterious “Aurora Borealis”.
Announced "Nordlands most innovative restaurant" in 2006 and accepted as a "Norwegian Foodprint" restaurant in June 2011.
