Explore nature on two wheels - this tour takes us around the four lakes of the city!
We start cycling from the city centre around the lake Breiavatnet, which is called "the smiling eye of Stavanger", located by the city park. We continue to the lake Mosvannet. Mosvannet is a pleasant recreational area. Near to the lake there is a rich bird life, which has also been stocked with fish.
We bike through Stokka, one of the suburbs in Stavanger to the lakes Store- and Lille Stokkavannet. No other leisure area can offer a greater variation in nature and types of scenery. It has a very rich bird, animal and plant life. The landscape varies from cultivated land to pastures, rough grazing ground, marshes and swamps, deciduous forests and coniferous forests to dry, stony rocks.
We continue through one of the oldest suburbs Eiganes on our way back to the city centre.
