Description

The tour takes you to the east side of Jotunheimen national park, where you pass Gjende and Besseggen. Further across Valdresflya along route 51, one of our national tourist roads. From lake Bygdin eastwards through Huldreheimen to Gudbrandsdalen.

Route description:
226 kms, four hours driving.
From Vågåmo on rv. 15 to Randen (7 kms), on rv 51 through Sjodalen valley and across Valdresflya to lake Bygdin (70 kms). Further on the road Jotunheimvegen to Skåbu (52 kms), rv. 2555 to Vinstra (26 kms), E6 to Otta (30 kms) and rv. 15 to Vågåmo (30 kms)
If you start in Lom (Fossbergom), add 55 kms, one hour extra driving time.
If you start in Bismo, add 73 kms, one and a half hour extra driving time.

What to see:
Hamsunstugu in Garmo, the gorge Riddarspranget, reminiscences of falconry in Skåbu, Fron bygdatun (local museum), rock carvings in Vinstra, Gudbrandsdal Krigsminnesamling (war memorial collection) in Kvam, Kringen monument, Vågå stave church and Jutulheimen open air museum in Vågåmo.

What to do:
Fishing, Greov camping, climbing in Brimiskogen Klatrepark, rafting and river boarding in the Sjoa river, a nice hike along the Huldrestigen trail in Sjodalen.
