Glacier Tour Fjærland from Bergen - daytrip

Contact information

Description

The boattrip starts from Bergen in the morning and goes to Balestrand. Here you have to change to another boat and continue to Fjærland. The Fjærlandsfjord is beautiful and majestic, surrounded by snowy mountainpeaks. The fjord has a light green colour because of the meltwater from the glacier that pours out in the fjord.

The boattrip is a marvellous experience from the artvillage of Balestrand through the beautiful fjord landscape and almost to the glacier Jostedalsbreen. From the boat you have a wonderful view towards the glacier plateau of the Jostedalsbreen.

From the quay in Mundal, Fjærland, the glacierbus takes you to the foot of the glacier. We recommend a longer stay in Fjærland so you really get to enjoy the nature and visit the Norwegian Booktown. Return to Balestrand in the afternoon to connect with expressboat taking you back to Bergen.
