Description

Fagerhøy is located by the famous Peer Gynt Road, at 1018 altitude, with a panorama view of Jotunheimen, Rondane, Dovrefjell and Hulderheimen/Gausdal Vestfjell. There are a number of possible activities to choose from, both in summer and winter. Fagerhøy is situated closed to the skiing, hiking and biking trails, between Skeikampen, Kvitfjell and Gålå. Our establishment has welcomed tourists since 1882. Since we started hosting school campers in 1969, more than 100,000 students have stayed with us. The main building has 26 rooms and a total of 80 beds. The great lodge, also called the villa, can accommodate 40 guests, and the building called Mellomstugu, has 3 apartments with a total of 20 beds. The "Nystugu" is a new house with 10 beds. The school camp standard is high, and the standard of the mountain lodge is good. This, combined with pleasant surroundings, has brought many visitors back to Fagerhøy and Gudbrandsdal school camp.

Transportation

During summer, Fagerhøy can be reached via the Peer Gynt Route across Gålå from the north or across Gausdal/Skeikampen from the south. An alternative route is the E6 to Hundorp in Gudbrandsdalen, and then following the signs for Fagerhøy. During winter, the latter is the only route open as the Peer Gynt Route is closed.
