Description

Byrkjedalstunet Lys is rich on experiences. The premises of the candle shop are unique. Some parts of the shop show signs of it once being a dairy. Further into the shop there are several antique-looking rooms as well as the attic hosting exhibitions and antiques. In the innermost part of the shop you find a large modern cave inspired by the Stone Church in Helsinki. The shop itself spans over an area of 1100 square metres.

Byrkjedalstunet Lys has a wide range of Norwegian and handmade candles. The shop sells more that 100,000 candles per year, and they can offer more than 200 different kinds of candles. Some of the candles are made and decorated on the premises at Byrkjedalstunet. These activities are open to the customers.

The candle shop do not only sell candles, but has a wide selection of traditional Norwegian wood products, Norwegian rosemaling and wool as well as Norwegian food produce.

The shop also offers trendy gifts and décor items, souvenirs, leather goods, stones and minerals.

Byrkjedalstunet Lys has one of the largest Christmas exhibitions in Norway – here you can meet lurking Santas all year around…

And last but not least – all children have their very own space – Barnas Plass - a place where all children can colour their own candle!
