Throughout the tour we will stop and enjoy the magnificent views towards Longyearbyen and the surrounding mountains. Our guide will share stories of Longyearbyen, the local coal mining, geography and the hardy hunters who once dotted the landscape. Warm drinks will be served when we reach the opposite side of the valley, where we will have a panoramic outlook over Longyearbyen.
This is a great little expedition for those who wish to come out of Longyearbyen in a safe and comfortable manner. Please note that guests must dress warmly, with warm winter clothing and shoes. The tour is dependant on the weather, and the route may be adjusted if necessary. This tour includes transport from accommodation and guide with all neccessary safety equipment, warm drinks and biscuits.
We run snowshoeing trips in easy terrain on the picturesque island of Kvaløya. Our trips are suitable for those with previous snowshoeing experience and those who are keen to try. We also have snowshoes for children so the whole family can participate.
