BØ I VESTERÅLEN

Skagakaia

Farthest out on the south end of Skagen in Bø, at the beautiful islands of Vesteraalen, you are warmly welcome to visit Skagakaia Guesthouse & The Old Post House Cafe. Here, the grand daughter of the old shipping agent is now taking well care of both the history and her guests. In the shipping agent’s building there are 7 charming rooms with a total of 13 beds, new bathrooms and a shared living room with a small kitchenette. Here you stay right on the quayside, with rippling waves beneath the time-honoured floorboards and a hundred years of history in the walls. In the stately Old Post House you can enjoy local, home-made food and a good, organic wine in beautiful surroundings. For a sweet dessert or afternoon tea, try the delicious cakes from grandma’s recipe book. At Skagakaia there is excellent scope for excursions both in the mountains and out at sea. We have bicycles and nostalgic wooden rowing boats for hire. On request we organize guided trips, suitable for all ages.
