The Lista region has one of the highest population of different birds. They travel from all over the world to feed in Lista during the autumn, before making their long journey to the southern part of Europe. Visit the potholes at Sild, 25 minutes driving southwest of Risør. The potholes here are the largest in Northern Europe and are very popular during the summer to swim in. They are 5 metres wide and six metres deep.
This area is an important biotope for mute swans and various duck species.
