The Vesterålen Museum was founded on the basis of a private initiative in the 1920’s. At that time it was located in Rødgården House in Melbu town centre, a building dating back to the 1700’s that was moved there for that purpose. Today, the Vesterålen Museum has been re-established in the venerable, old Melbu Hovedgård mansion.
The gallery G Guddal is located at the very charming farm at Guddalstunet in Guddalen by Seimsfoss, ca 5 km from the centre of Rosendal.
