A full night of Active Dog Sledding, starting out from our base camp into a fairytale arctic wilderness. You will be mushing your own dog sled, pulled by a happy and friendly team of trained Alaskan Huskies.
A certified Arctic Naturguide will take you on a trip in the surrounding mountains from Manndalen, where you have a great view. You will experience different types of vegetation and your guide will tell you about the local flora and fauna, as well as the history of the place.
There are a lot of mountaintops in the Lyngenalps. Jiehkkevarri, with it's 1.834 meters is the highest. From Lyngseidet, there are several options to walk/hike to the surrounding mountaintops, such as Kavringtinden/Goalsevarri and Rørnestinden are two with a fantastic view of the Lyngenalps.

One of Tromsø Villmarkssenter’s main ambitions is is participating in the "Finnmarksløpet", Europe’s longest dogsled race (1000 km). Training of both dogs and people throughout the year is essential and summer is the time for new puppies to try their hand at teamwork.
