The Russian mining settlement Pyramiden was abandoned in 1998, leaving the buildings and infrastructure intact. We pass close by the bird cliffs at Diabas before we reach Tempelfjorden and the cathedral-like mountain, Tempelfjellet. We head towards the Nordenskiöldbreen and whilst you enjoy the view, a warm barbequed lunch is served. We investigate the once so well groomed settlement.
