- There is light in the dark -
“Snug in the Night lies the Town”, is from a poem about Svalbard. Now we take you out of town and into the Polar Night where all contours are erased and everything becomes shades of blue. The Blue Light here can vary in all different shades of blue and change considerably from a narrow valley to the open landscape. If you are lucky you will see the Northern Light flood over a starry sky.
When the midnight sun is above the horizon and glowing with its golden warm light we are taking you out on an unforgettable experience. We are guiding you over the open arctic landscape, through small valleys and out to the coastline. Incredible photographic opportunities over coffee and a snack. It is midnight and the glowing sun is hanging above the mountains on Oscar II land.

Hit the wall!
If you thought the steep hillsides in Nordfjord are impressive to look at, why not impress yourself and climb them all the way up to the top?
Admittedly, hanging from a steep mountainside above a fjord is not something you do every day, and you would think it sounds strenuous and somewhat dangerous. However, thanks to a well-prepared climbing track to the top of Hoven (1010 meters above the fjord), most people manage to climb the Via Ferrata trail (“iron road”) in Loen. A guide is with you all the way and with a harness attached, you can’t fall. It is just a matter of taking in the view!
