Please note that due to ice conditions in Billefjorden the ships will not reach Pyramiden before end of May.
As an alternative we follow the ice edge hunting for walrus, seals and the king of arctic.
The Russian mining settlement Pyramiden was abandoned in 1998, leaving the buildings and infrastructure intact. We pass close by the bird cliffs at Diabas before we reach Tempelfjorden and the cathedral-like mountain, Tempelfjellet. We head towards the Nordenskiöldbreen and whilst you enjoy the view, a warm barbequed lunch is served. We investigate the once so well groomed settlement. We follow the north side of the fjord and can reflect over the tragic winter in Svenskhuset at Kapp Thordsen.
With the midnight sun on our bow we glide into the bay, right up to the magnificent Bore Glacier.
Early in the season the sea ice may still lie thick on the fjord, preventing og us from reaching the glacier itself. However, in exchange for this we may be lucky as to see seals sunbathing on the ice under the spring sun which refuses to set.
By the ice we will serve supper from the barbecue.
Now you have the possibility to join us to the northern most city in the world, Ny-Aalesund on board the Spitsbergen Express. In the city we will provide you a guided tour, tell you stories and visit the northern most post office in the world. On board the exclusive yacht we will feel the mighty arctic nature up close. Glacier fronts, marine mammals and birds are some of the things we might experience.

Take a different hiking trip, on the northern side of the Adventfjord.
We cross the Adventfjord by boat and disembark at Revneset. This transfer takes approximately 10 minutes. We then head into Louisdalen towards Carolinedalen. At the top of the valley we turn and make our way up onto Forkastningsfjellet. From here we can enjoy magnificent panoramic views over the Isfjord, stretching from the Nordenskiöld Glacier in Billefjorden to Trygghamna near the west coast.

7 hours of unique adventure!Travel with your own dogsled to the magnificent icecave, which can only be reached by dogsled. The still standing air in the cave gives the ice perfect conditions to form fantastic shapes and beautiful colors.
4 hours dogsledding in Bolterdalen! Surrounded by mountains, we will follow the riverbed in Bolterdalen and carry on in to the moraine hills, where going up and down will add some fun and excitement to the tour. In Bolterdalen we often see reindeer and grouse.
Back in the dogyard, we will have a cup of tea and meet the next generation of sleddogs puppies.
We guide you through the whole process and safely secure you during the climb. The climbing is done with top rope, secured from the ground and supervised by the guide. This is a cold, but fun activity! We make sure you stay warm with thick snowmobile suit, gloves and boots. You are at the most 4 participants at a time and will have time for rest and a hot drink or two.
You must wear sturdy mountain boots that can have crampons mounted. Although we provide snowmobile suit etc, be dressed for being outdoors the whole afternoon, in potential wind and cold.
