The trail network which is prepared by the Cooperation Kvæfjord Tracks have become quite extensive and total it concerns about 38 km pistes.
We run snowshoeing trips in easy terrain on the picturesque island of Kvaløya. Our trips are suitable for those with previous snowshoeing experience and those who are keen to try. We also have snowshoes for children so the whole family can participate.
No visit to the Lyngen area would be complete without experiencing at least one of the many glaciers up close and personal. Here you can see how the glacier has formed the valley and you can see how the forces of nature affect the landscape.
Along the route there are information signs that give you information about the flora and fauna found in the area. You can also see how the glacier has retreated in the past years, when walking up the valley.
The glacier "Strupen" is on the north eastern side of the Lyngen peninsula and is only reached by boat.
