The Peer Gynt Trail

The Peer Gynt Trail leads through the mountain scenery on the western side of Gudbrandsdalen in the World of Peer Gynt.

Dørdalsknappen og ”melkeveien” rundt

Mountain-peak hike and round-trip - 9–10 km - 2-3 hours. Round-trip along the “melkeveien” The road that in the old days was used to collect the milk from the summerfarms - 6km - 2-3 hours.


Rondane national park

Rondane National Park celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012 as the nation’s first national park. The Rondane massif has peaks stretching more than 2000 meters above sea level, towering mightily over the lichen-covered plateaus.

Sjoa Rafting

Sjoa Rafting offers a range of activities and is based next to the River Sjoa in Heidal. Being based next to one of the best rafting rivers in Europe, our main activities are rafting and riverboarding.


The Breidsjøen Round (13 km)

Gentle round-trip through forest terrain, from Dalseter and around lake Breidsjøen. Excellent option on windy days when you prefer the shelter of the forest.


The Sprenpiggen Round (16 km)

A reasonably challenging trip, leading through a birch forest, up into the mountain, and around the Sprenpiggen peak. Can be highly recommended in good weather, and offers spectacular views of Espedalen and towards Jotunheimen.


Hattdalseter (12 km)

Gentle route in forest terrain from Dalseter to Hattdalseter, leading along the Peer Gynt Route (opt. 1) or via Store Steinen (opt. 2) and through the forest back to the starting point.
