Gullsteinvollen is one of the Fjordruta-cabins of Kristiansund and Nordmøre Trekking Assosciation. The cabin is situated up in Gullsteindalen valley. It is an hour's walk along a tractor road to the cabin. This is an manageable trip for most people.
This self-guided hiking tour with luggage transport will take you to one of Norway's most spectacular mountain areas. Numerous important historical events have taken place in this region and the road across Dovrefjell has served as one of the main travel routes since the Middle Ages.
