If you are in good physical condition, you should test your stamina along the Olympic 50 km cross-country trail. This was where Vladimir Smirnoff famously beat Bjørn Dæhli to the gold medal. The courses used during the Lillehammer Winter Olympics are considered the most challenging in the world.
The trails run through a spectacular scenery ranging from pine forests down in the valley to breathtaking mountain terrain with the Ruten peak at 1,500 m a.s.l.
With Skeikampen as starting point, the trail follows the Peer Gynt route to Fagerhøi. The trail is prepared as soon as the snow arrives, and is ideal for the less experienced skier.
