Rallarvegen, the old works road alongside the Bergen Railway and the Flåm Railway (Haugastøl – Finse - Myrdal - Flåm) is Norway’s most popular cycle ride. The route is 80 kilometres long and passes through spectacular scenery that takes you all the way from the high mountains down to the fjord. You can rent bicycles at Haugastøl, Finse and Flåm, and pleasant accommodation is available several places along the route.
The Tour de Jotunheimen is a 430-kilometre-long bicycle race, which starts in Lærdal before crossing the Filefjell, Valdresflya and Sognefjell mountains and ending in Sogndal. The race is quite an experience, but it is only suitable for really well-trained cyclists. However, you can also take part in a shorter version called the Mini Jotunheimen, in which case you cycle the leg from Lom across the Sognefjell mountains and cycle along the northern shore of the Lusterfjord to Sogndal. The race is held at the beginning of July every year.
The lush Blåstøldalen valley is a striking contrast to the barren mountains around Mount Kjerag. The day’s leg of the round trip passes Blåstølen, an excellent summer pasture farm where only the foundations of the farm remain as testimony to its past.
This hike is across a varied terrain and changing landscape which makes it a very interesting hke indeed!
A challenging hike through the world-renowned Kjeragbolten!!!!
The first path of this walk is along a number of lakes and the path is difficult in places. Then you come to the remarkable Mount Blåfjell before walking through a narrow gorge that leads you to the lush Øyestøldalen.
This trip is dominated by a barren landscape and finding your bearings might be difficult and disorientating, despite this, the path is generally visible as it is a well walked path.
From Stråløs Høghei to the wild and beautiful Lysedalen!!!
This walk takes you through several narrow valleys and you are, at times, surrounded by towering mountainsides. There is a greater variety of flora to be found here than on the other walks.
