Vågslid Grunneigarlag welcomes you to enjoy fishing in their area of Vågslid and Haukelifjell. There are around 70 lakes and tarns here, all within one fishing permit zone, located in high mountain terrain in an area of more than 33,000 acres and at an altitude varying between 800-1600m. This area features some of the best mountain fishing in the south of Norway!
Grungedal/Mogane fishing association can offer fishing in Grungevatn lake and the Lonine watercourse. There is only trout in this watercourse, varying in size from 100 to 500g.
Tveiten Fishermen’s Association offers trout fishing in Tveitevatn (525 m a.s.l.), which extends from Grungevatn to Edland. This nutrient-rich lake contains several strains of trout, making it attractive for both ice fishing and fishing in summer.
Vinje landowners' association sells fishing permits for Vinjevatn and Våmarvatn lakes, as well as for many other smaller ones in the area. There is both char and trout in Vinjevatn and Våmarvatn lakes, but only trout in the others. The record for fish caught on a rod in Våmarvatn lake is a staggering 9.5kg!
Fishing for trout with a rod and net in parts of Dyrdalsvatn lake by arrangement with the landowner. It is a good lake to fish, both in terms of quantity and quality - trout caught here can weigh up to 1kg.
Totak lake is situated between Rauland in southeast and Arabygdi in northwest.
Vierli Eigedom offers fishing in lake Oksatjønn and parts of lake Uvatn in Rauland.

Lognvikvatn and Tansvatn are situated between Austbø in Rauland and Øyfjell in the south-east part of Vinje.
In the northwest part of Vinje you find the mountain terrain of Storheller. This is an area of 6250 hectares reaching from the northern part of Songavatn to the border of Hordaland County. The about 15 lakes at 1000 - 1200 metres above sea level can offer you some fine trout.
