Lake Nisser is very well suited for canoeing and cayaking, especially in the nortehs parts around Vrådal. See the beatiful landscape of islands and skerries surrounded by steep mountains. The area enjoys a good summer climate.
You can start this walk at The Norwegian Ski Museum. Make Øverbø your destination, and experience the smallholding that is the birthplace of skiing legend Sondre Norheim: known the world over as the “father of modern skiing”. Here you can see the cabin in which Sondre was born on 10 June 1825. It was in this cabin the first Winter Olympic flame was lit.
