Risørflekken white rock

Overlooking the Risør harbour is a large white rock that offers panoramic views over the harbour and coastline called "Risørflekken". It is Risørs most famous landmark as it was used by sailors to navigate their way to the harbour. It can be seen 12 nautical miles from land.

Risør Art Park contains a large gallery and a project room that displays art and design exhibitions throughout the year. The house also contains twelve studio and two guest studio for artists.

Potholes at Sild

Visit the potholes at Sild, 25 minutes driving southwest of Risør. The potholes here are the largest in Northern Europe and are very popular during the summer to swim in. They are 5 metres wide and six metres deep.

Lille Danmark "Little Denmark" is a popular bathing location in the Risør archipelago with a shallow sandy beach, rocks and lawn at Risøya. If you arrive here by private boat, there are docking areas nearby.

The Risør Sailing Ship club has a large collection of monumental items and a picture gallery from Risør's sailing history. The exhibition is located in the  Risør City Hall.

Stangholmen is an island just outside Risør that is a popular place to visit during the summer months. There are many bathing areas, a lighthouse, restaurant and bar.
