The municipality of Vennesla is located centrally in Agder. People have been living here for more than 5,000 years and now there are more than 13,000 inhabitants.

An authentic lumber slide and a part of of history. Now restored and protected, it is the only surviving example in the whole of Norway.
The main building is a farm building from 1838. There is also a traditional storehouse, "stabbur", built prior to 1640. The school museum displays completely equipped classrooms from a bygone era.
