Helvedesfossen runs where the old coast highway and the current E18 crosses Moelva (river) in Tingsaker.
Brekkestø was originally a temporary anchorage, also for sailing ships laid up for the winter. The story goes that in winter the ships lay so close to each other that you could cross the sound without getting your feet wet.
This is a timber house dating from about 1730, used for customs and excise from 1838. The building was listed for preservation in 1991.

Saltholmen Lighthouse - the islets were used early in the 19th century for the extraction of sea salt. Lighthouse from 1882, manned until 1952 when it was automated.
Sandra Svendsen's House dates from 1723 and is the oldest house in town, and one of the loveliest.
Built around the year 1700, presents a large number of old utility articles from the old Høvåg.
