Ekspedisjonen Blåbrygga

Ekspedisjonen Blåbrygga in Sortland is our lunchbar. It is located in the old Hvitbrygga, which is one of the town's oldest docks. In the summertime the lunchbar transforms into one of Sortland's finest restaurants, serving both lunch and dinner. Day and night we offer an inspired menu including local ingredients from land and sea.

Marthahaugen Gård

In our restaurant we hold private parties with pre-ordered menu throughout the year. In our menu you will find organic local cuisine, in short, pure food. That means we do not use pesticides or fertilizers (mineral fertilizer). In summer and autumn we gather berries that are put on the menu. We also offer meat of deer, wild game from the district and selected fish.

Saabyes Bibliotek

Visit our friendly library In Saabye's library you can find all works published by Lars Saabye Christensen. Be it all his novels, poetry, plays, films, music - including translations. All this is donated by Lars Saabye Christensen.

Sortland Hotel

Cultural hotel in north – Sortland Hotell – is situated in the centre of Vesterålen and Sortland. The hotel has spring 2010 been renovated. Our 50 rooms includes 4 suites, all have flatscreen TV and original paintings. Famous Norwegian author Lars Saabye Christensen has his own library which has all of his novels and translations. In 1911/1912 Knut Hamsun stayed for months writing his famous book ‘Look back on happiness’. Among other items our foaje has the door to his room No 10! Saabyes Bibliotek is also our restaurant – we take great pride in our kitchen! Sortland is a perfect location for trips in Lofoten and Vesterålen.

Postmestergarden, Sortland, is a house in Swiss/Jugend style built in 1920. It's situated a 5 min. walk from the city centre and the property contains a large garden with a wide selection of flowers and trees. We offer a penthouse apartment and four rooms for rental.

Grasnes Feriehus

Welcome to Grasnes Feriehus! Grasnes Feriehus is situated in beautiful Godfjord,the good fjord. The fjord has through generations been the home for the typical north-norwegian fish-farmer. The man has been fishing,and the wife took care of the the house and the farm. Godfjorden is approximately 11km long and surrounded by high mountains. Here you have access to fish lakes, hiking trails with great possibility for picking mushrooms and berries. The fjord is filled with different types of fish.
