In our restaurant we hold private parties with pre-ordered menu throughout the year. In our menu you will find organic local cuisine, in short, pure food. That means we do not use pesticides or fertilizers (mineral fertilizer). In summer and autumn we gather berries that are put on the menu. We also offer meat of deer, wild game from the district and selected fish.

Ekspedisjonen Blåbrygga

Ekspedisjonen Blåbrygga in Sortland is our lunchbar. It is located in the old Hvitbrygga, which is one of the town's oldest docks. In the summertime the lunchbar transforms into one of Sortland's finest restaurants, serving both lunch and dinner. Day and night we offer an inspired menu including local ingredients from land and sea.

Sortland Hotel

Cultural hotel in north – Sortland Hotell – is situated in the centre of Vesterålen and Sortland. The hotel has spring 2010 been renovated. Our 50 rooms includes 4 suites, all have flatscreen TV and original paintings. Famous Norwegian author Lars Saabye Christensen has his own library which has all of his novels and translations. In 1911/1912 Knut Hamsun stayed for months writing his famous book ‘Look back on happiness’. Among other items our foaje has the door to his room No 10! Saabyes Bibliotek is also our restaurant – we take great pride in our kitchen! Sortland is a perfect location for trips in Lofoten and Vesterålen.

Kayak rental - Vesterålen Padle & Klatresenter

We have kayak rental, both single and double kayaks, including all necessary equipment, also dry suits. It requires basic kayak knowledge to rent equipment from us. We know all the best routes to paddle in Vesterålen, and can give you good advises for were to go, and also where to place your tents, if you choose to go camping or other kind of accommodations. If you have a need for transporting kayaks, please contact us and we will try to arrange the transport.
Single kayak: 450 nok, double kayak: 650 nok

Sortland Camping og Motell NAF

Sortland Camping og Motell is situated very central in Sortland, a short distance to the city centre and with a beautiful view towards the fjord and the mountains. Sortland is a starting point for day trips in the Vesterålen and Lofoten archipelago, and to Harstad and Narvik towns.
