BØ I VESTERÅLEN
The Museum in Bø is beautifully located by the sea, in a landscape where fairytale characters still are alive. The female "hulder" and the "draugen", a creature living in the sea are to be seen by those who have patience and a vivid imagination.
Charming bike trip with lots of culture- and nature experiences based in the adventure center in Ringstad on the other coastline of Vesterålen
The Arctic Light! So much more than the midnight sun and northern lights.. You can enjoy the midnight sun from the quayside at Fjordcamp from late May to mid-July, weather permitting. Photo motives stand in line, both from land and sea!
The experience of the arctic light and the clear fresh air is like stepping into a fairytale picture. Meetings with sea eagles and nature, walks on snow covered mountains while waiting for the spectacular Northern Lights makes room for new impulses and creativity
Fjordcamp is idyllically situated on the Vesterålen coastline with the mighty Norwegian Sea and it's rich, plentiful fish resources and well known winter fishing season (skrei-fisket), on the doorstep.
Our cabins are located right down by the sea with the boats moored just 30 metres away. After your fishing trip, you can either prepare the catch yourself or make arrangements with our chef in the restaurant on the quayside.

From January 2014 Norway lovers will be able to enjoy the Vesterålen, where I run a restaurant and some cottages at a place called Damperiet. It's situated along the Straumfjorden. Together with the Lofoten and Senja, this archipelago is one of the most beautiful parts of Norway. That's my humble opinion of course. But I am very eager to share my passion with you!
Mountains, fjords, (killer)whales, Midnight Sun, Northern Light. You are surrounded by it all at Damperiet in summer and winter. You can go hiking, fishing, canoeing or just sit and relax while enjoying this little piece of heaven.

Farthest out on the south end of Skagen in Bø, at the beautiful islands of Vesteraalen, you are warmly welcome to visit Skagakaia Guesthouse & The Old Post House Cafe. Here, the grand daughter of the old shipping agent is now taking well care of both the history and her guests.
In the shipping agent’s building there are 7 charming rooms with a total of 13 beds, new bathrooms and a shared living room with a small kitchenette. Here you stay right on the quayside, with rippling waves beneath the time-honoured floorboards and a hundred years of history in the walls. In the stately Old Post House you can enjoy local, home-made food and a good, organic wine in beautiful surroundings. For a sweet dessert or afternoon tea, try the delicious cakes from grandma’s recipe book.
At Skagakaia there is excellent scope for excursions both in the mountains and out at sea. We have bicycles and nostalgic wooden rowing boats for hire. On request we organize guided trips, suitable for all ages.
Fjordcamp is situated in the beautiful countryside and with views to the sea, mountains and fjords.
We offer affordable accommodation in cozy cottages with self-catering, motorhomes, caravans and tents, barbecue huts and barbecue areas, docks and floats for our boat guests and a great restaurant and conference hall. We also have cottages and boats for physically disabled.
