Dogsledding to icecave,7 hours
7 hours of unique adventure!Travel with your own dogsled to the magnificent icecave,which can only be reached by dogsled. We enter the icecave and in the lights from our headlamps we experience ice as few people has seen it. The still standing air in the cave gives the ice perfect conditions to form fantastic shapes and beautiful colors.

This challenging skiing expedition is takes you through the mighty mountain and glacier landscape in the north-east of Spitsbergen, a remote area that few visit. We will be transported from Longyearbyen to Billefjorden or Gipsdalen, and from there on all we need are skis, sleds and backpacks with our own equipment. There is no set schedule for the trip; the route and tempo will be adjusted to fit the weather conditions and the participants.

At the end of the Longyear valley, there are two glaciers, Lars Breen and Longyear Breen. Longyear Breen have over thousands of years eroded the mountains and pushed the rocks in to a huge moraine in front of the glacier. It is in these rocks we find 40 to 60 million year old plant and animal fossils.
When the snow starts melting at the beginning of June,we start using dog carts instead of sledges. At this trip you drive your own cart with 6 huskies in front.Our guide will help you harness the dogs and drive in front of you with his own team.The trip goes through beautiful Adventdalen ,which offers unique arctic nature and lots of reindeer!
