A historical defence museum that features a heavy German coastal defence battery from 1940-45, with the world's largest land-based cannon (337 tonnes). Plenty of other material from WWII. Sale of military surplus material. Viewpoint. In the vicinity of hiking areas and bathing places.
The museum is located by school at Laudal (Riksvei 461). It houses a collection of exhibits from local houses, schools and working life....
The main building is a farm building from 1838. There is also a traditional storehouse, "stabbur", built prior to 1640. The school museum displays completely equipped classrooms from a bygone era.
