Located 218 yards from Lake Snåsa, right in the middle of Klingsundet Nature Reserve, Isakplassen is the perfect place to stay if you are interessted in recreation in historic settings. There is an abundance of bird- and wildlife in the area, and good opportunies for fishing and hiking.

Located at the southern end of Snåsavatnet lake, 8 miles north of Steinkjer, Føllingstua Camping offers accommodation in cabins, rooms and spaces for motor homes and caravans with access to electricity. A nice place for families, with playground, canoes for hire, and barbeque facilities and very good fishing opportunities near the campsite, which is the first campsite in Norway with an Ecortourism Norway certification.

Guldbergaunet Sommerhotell & Camping
A family-friendly, all-year campsite just a few minutes drive from Steinkjer city center, Guldbergaunet is located by the Steinkjer river, in quiet and peaceful surroundings with large grasslands, trees and hiking trails. The campground borders the sports park in Steinkjer, with close proxomity to many activities.
Bearhunter Schulz Summers Residence
The old Bearhunster's self catered cabins are all separately located, right on the waterfront of Snåsavatnet lake, close to beaches, boats and angling locations. This is a family friendly place for fishing, with its own fishing zone. The season lasts from May to October.
Located next to Lake Snåsa, just off the E6, Vegset Camping offer accommodation in basic cabins, with excellent opportunities for fishing, hiking and swimming in the area. Hire a bike at Visit Innherred Tourist office, who will deliver the bike at the campsite so you can have a great bike ride around Snåsa.
Accommodation for pilgrims
Munkeby Herberge in Levanger
Located along St. Olav's Way, the pilgrim's route from Sweden to Trondheim via Stiklestad, Munkeby Inn is designed to welcome pilgrims. It is close to the ruins of the Munkeby Abbey and the new Munkeby Maria Monastery. Munkeby Inn is open on demand all year round.

Cabins in the mountains
In Skjækra, at the gateway to the Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park and Norway's geographical midpoint, there are several cabins owned by Snåsa Fjellstyre and Steinkjer Municipality Forests.
