Farm visits

There are a number of opportunities to visit farms in Asker and Bærum, with activities for the entire family. Here, children accompanied by adults can experience Norwegian farm animals along with more exotic species such as lamas, alpacas, highland cattle and donkeys, to name a few.

Bergvang farm, Vestre Bjørum and Sæteren farm are all well worth a visit. These are open to the public on Sundays, and accept group bookings on weekdays.

Lommedalsbanen railway

Experience an unusual train ride on Norway's smallest steam locomotive, built in 1904. Lommedalsbanen can also be hired by schools, kindergartens, private parties or companies for special events.

The train is fully operational on Sundays in June, August and September. At Christmas time there are trips for the children to go see Father Christmas.

Bærums Verk

Why not do some shopping in historic surroundings? At Bærums Verk, shopping, crafts, history and culture are woven together to form the basis for activities and cultural experiences including glass blowing, a smithy, galleries, handicrafts, design, specialist boutiques, a stove museum, sculpture park and historical outdoor theatrical performances.

The boats are also available for hire, with crew, either just for you or with friends and colleagues, for private pleasure outings or business trips. A good, varied menu is offered, and the boats are fully licensed. The aim is to create an enjoyable and personal fjord trip with soul and atmosphere.
