Travel to Kongsberg, then follow rv. 40.

From the south:
From Larvik, follow rv. 40 through Kongsberg towards Geilo. If you are coming from Denmark to Larvik by boat, this is the best option.

From the west:
Follow rv. 7 across Hardangervidda to Geilo, then travel along rv. 40 to Numedal.
