Winter in Vrådal

Try alpine skiing and snowboarding at Vrådal Panorama Ski Center, or cross-country skiing in the surrounding mountains.

Vrådal Panorama Ski Center

At Vrådal Panorama Ski Center, which is one of the largest in the county of Telemark, you will find 5 lifts with a lift capacity of 6,000 people per hour.

The longest slope is 2,5 miles long with a vertical drop of 1500 feet. In the ski centre you will also find a dedicated area for children, located next to the chair lift.

The ski centre normally opens at the beginning of December and closes at the end of April.

There is a café and shop where you can hire cross-country, Telemark and slalom skis, snowboards and snowshoes. The popular ski school offers a range of skiing lessons.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiing has long traditions in Telemark. In Vrådal there are 21 miles of prepared cross-country tracks in the mountains, in the valleys, over fields, in the forests and on safe ice.

Snowshoeing

Walking with snowshoes is easy to learn and the terrain in Vrådal is ideal for making long or short trips on slopes in the forest or above the tree line.
