Places to eat in Trysil

In Trysil, you will find a wide range of great places to eat. You can choose from international favorites or meals prepared from local produce.

In the winter time Trysil offers a wide selection of places to eat. Daylight hours during the ski season offer a choice of 29 locations, whilst the summer season also offers many charming places to eat food of many different kinds.

Places to eat during winter

In and around the ski area you can choose between 21 mountain restaurants and caféterias. Here you can read more about some of them:

At Fjellroa in Fageråsen in the middle of the slope is the Austrian inspired Skipaviljongen. Enjoy your lunch or coffee inside the cosy pavilion or outside in the sun.

High up in the mountains the restaurant Skihytta serves delicious dishes and specialities.

In the heart of Trysilfjellet, you can enjoy a varied lunch, waffles or fondue at Knettsetra. There is also a pub with live music, and outdoor concerts throughout the winter.

Both the two hotels, Radisson Blu Resort Trysil and Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort, have several restaurants and bars. You can ski in and have some lunch or a coffee, and ski out again. Or enjoy a nice dinner in the evening. Either buffet or a la carte.

Trysil Høyfjellssenter offers an attractive lunch and dinner destination called Restaurant Vinter. With a focus on local ingredients served in an informal atmosphere.

Several restaurants at Trysil Turistsenter and Trysil Høyfjellssenter offer après-ski, family après-ski and nightclubs. Trysil Turistsenter is one of the most popular après-ski places in Norway, with diners and drinkers heading for Restaurant Laaven.

Places to eat during summer

On beautiful summer days you can enjoy your meal outdoors at many of the eating places.

Originally an old mountain farm at Trysilfjellet, in the summer you can experience a pastoral idyll with traditional Norwegian food at Knettsetra. In the yard there are horses, sheep, rabbits, lambs and chickens, and this is a nice play ground for children.

The Radisson Blu Resort Trysil is open all year round, and this is the perfect place to enjoy a cold or warm meal.

In the Trysil city centre there are several places to choose between. For instance the caféteria Rialto with its lovely cakes.
