Valdres stretches from the Begnadalen Valley in the south to the entrance of the Jotunheimen National Park in the north. The regional centre is Fagernes.

There are two daily flights from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Fagernes Airport Leirin (30 minutes). Fagernes Airport Leirin is located only 15 minutes from Fagernes.

There are six daily departures from the Oslo Bus Terminal with Valdresekspressen. Daily bus service from Lillehammer, Bergen and Sogndal with Øst-Vest Xpressen. Both services are operated by Nor-Way Bussekspress.
The nearest train station is located in Gol, one hour by bus from Fagernes. There are bus connections three to four times daily. Please contact the Norwegian State Railways (NSB) for more information.
